*Corrections to be made to March 19, 2026 meeting minutes

 

*CURRENT BUSINESS

*TMIY

There are 2 weeks left in the current session then the program will be on a break for the summer until the fall session

Exploring the option of having 2 summer meeting with a speaker and/or video presentation

 

*St. John School

There are currently 75 students enrolled with a projection of 113 students for the 2026 - 2027 school year

PreK 3 and 4 are maxed out with their enrollment

Open House will be held on April 26th 10am - 2pm

Spring Concert is May 13th at 1:15pm

5K St. John School River Run is Saturday May 30th.  The kids fun run is at 8:30am and the 5K race at 9am

Graduation is June 5th

St. John was awarded the Judges Choice at th Old Saybrook Chili Fest

 

*Knight of Columbus

The fish fry dinners at both parishes was very successful 

Sunday April 19th and Sunday May 17th after the 10am Mass the Knights of St. Mark will be holding breakfast for all 

 

*Ladies Guild

Spring craft fair is scheduled for June 6th

Their will be a Memorial Day bake sale

 

*Parish Mission

Very well attended and all agreed it was very inspiring.  The sacrament of Confession was taken advantage of by the majority of attendees and it was appreciated that there were multiple Priests who assisted in hearing confession

 

*Upcoming Business

*Quilts of Valor - April 12th after the 10am Mass at St. Mark Parish

*June 7th will be the Corpus Christi Procession after the 10am mass at St. Mark Parish

*Sept. 27 from 1pm - 3pm will be the St. Pio Parish Picnic at St. John

will ask the students from school to help with games

Knights will assist with the grilling of burgers and hot dogs and provide drinks

Will explore the option to have Vecchittos Italian Ice truck

Kim will oversee salads

Ladies Guild will provide apple crisp

Exploring the idea of providing appetizers 

*The Parish website needs to be updated and cleaned up
