Opening Prayer
The meeting was opened with a prayer by Fr. Greg
Attendees introduced themselves and provided a brief introduction
Current Business
St. John School update provided by Fr. Greg
*Total enrollment for the school for the 2025 - 2026 school year is 70
*The long time maintenance worker Paul has retired and has been replaced by Tim Conklin
*Enhanced safety initiatives have been implemented for First Friday Mass. The side doors of the church will be locked and a police officer will be present inside the front doors.
*Mother Elaine is no longer the principal and has been assigned to teach in Taftville.
*Sr. Gabrielle has been reassigned
*The convent is currently empty.
*Children from St. John School will serve at Sunday mass several times a year at both St. John and St. Mark's
*The Luxury Raffle has sold over 1,300 tickets. The drawing will be held after Mass on Saturday 12/06/2025. Bishop Richard Reidy will be presiding at Mass.
That Man Is You
A new session is starting on Saturday September 20th from 6:30am - 8:00am. Breakfast will be served at 6:30am, followed by a video at 7:00am, group discussion at 7:30am and concluding at 8:00am. Each of the 13 sessions will feature a different speaker.
Parish Picnic
Sunday September 21st at 1:00pm at St. Mark's
Set up will take place Saturday September 20th at 6pm
The tents will be put up on Sunday
Knights of Columbus will be taking care of the food - hotdogs and hamburgers
New this year will be a cotton candy machine
Ladies Guild is providing strawberry shortcake
Rudy will take care of picking up all the incidentals needed
Dave will bring lawn games
Kim will pick up salads from Costco
New Business
Parish Movie
Friday November 7th at 6pm at St. Mark's
Ordinary Angels: A 2024 Lionsgate movie, Rated PG. The movie is based on a true story of love, kindness and community.
The parish will provide pizza
Lenten Mission
Introduction at all masses the weekend of February 21st and 22nd
The mission will take place on February 23rd, 24th and 25th at 6:00pm
Lenten Soup Supper
Saturday February 21st after the 5:00pmmass at St. Mark's
Ladies Guild
*Polish Dinner - additional tickets needed to be printed due to the high interest in the event
* Angels and Elves Fair: Saturday November 22
Knights of Colombus
Breakfast at St. Mark's on 09/28, 10/19, 11/16, and 12/14 which will be breakfast with Santa
