Funerals/Mass of Christian Burial

On behalf of Fr. Greg, the Parish Staff, and the entire community of St. John and St. Mark, we extend our sincere condolences to all who have lost a loved one. The loss of a loved one is a key moment in the life of a believer. In this difficult time of grief and transition, it is important to be surrounded by faith and prayer in a caring and supportive environment.

In order to help you make proper arrangements please contact one of the local funeral homes and allow them to plan the celebration with you. We are usually contacted directly by the funeral home, and then there is time for an appointment for the family to come to the parish office or for one of the pastoral staff members to visit with the family.

Funeral

At the pastoral appointment, the needs of the family will be addressed and questions about the liturgy will be answered. We will provide a booklet with possible choices of readings and music. It is the time to plan the liturgy for the calling hours, the funeral, and the committal.

We pray that our assistance will help you cope in your difficult time and strengthen your faith.
